Dear STMS Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I hope each of you has had a safe, relaxing, and memorable summer. We are incredibly excited to welcome our Blackcats back to the building.
This year brings some exciting transitions. After serving the past four years as your assistant principal and spending the last 14 years as part of the STMS staff, I am deeply honored to step into my first year as principal of Senn-Thomas Middle School. This community is my professional home, and I am thrilled to continue serving our students, families, and staff in this new role.
To our incoming 6th-grade students and families: Welcome to the Blackcat family! We know the transition to middle school is a big milestone, and we are fully committed to making it a positive, successful, and exciting experience. To our returning 7th- and 8th-graders: Welcome back! We can’t wait to see how you learn and lead this year.
Our Vision
At STMS, our goal is to create an environment where every student feels safe, valued, challenged, and supported. Middle school is a time of tremendous growth. We want every student to have opportunities to think critically, develop leadership skills, and discover their unique potential. We truly believe that when students feel connected to their school, they become more confident, resilient learners.
Staying Connected
I believe that strong communication between school and home is vital. Throughout the school year, I will send a weekly newsletter highlighting important events, celebrating student and staff accomplishments, and sharing upcoming activities.
