Welcome to Senn-Thomas Middle School
Welcome to a new school year! We are excited to begin this journey with you and your child. At Senn-Thomas Middle School, we understand the unique challenges that come with the middle school years, and we recognize that each student is unique and special with different learning needs. Knowing this, we strive to create learning experiences that meet those individual needs while supporting families as we make our way through the middle school years.
We are excited to grow our Project Lead the Way classes with a new addition that falls under the Health and Environmental studies pathway. This will add to our PLTW Engineering and Computer Science pathways. It’s our hope that students are able to experience different areas that might build into deeper levels of interest and learning later in their educational careers. We are also continuing to build our STMS House System, which supports all students as they work together despite age or ability level. This also allows our students to take on leadership roles to help plan and organize learning opportunities for their peers.
We want our students to take the knowledge gained during their years at the middle school and use it as they grow into young adults. We want to create experiences where students are able to learn, question, think critically, and reflect about things around them while feeling a sense of belonging during these years. As we navigate these experiences together, we want to build strong relationships with our families in order to support each other.
It is my honor to start my sixth year as Principal at Senn-Thomas Middle School. I can truly say that I love being a part of this community. It is a pleasure working with this staff and working with all of our Senn-Thomas families. We want to continue building opportunities for all of our students to grow academically and socially while supporting the needs of our community. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions. It’s going to be a great school year!
